IASST Recruitment 2023

The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati has recently released an official notification regarding the recruitment for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) vacancies in Guwahati, Assam.

Eligibility for IASST Recruitment 2023

Candidates shall be eligible to apply for admission and registration within the ongoing program of research at IASST, if he/she has obtained 55% marks in aggregate (Equivalent CGPA in 10 point scale) in the master’s degree examination. 

A candidate belonging to SC/ST who has obtained 50% marks in aggregate in master degree examination shall also be eligible to apply

Age Limit for IASST Recruitment 2023

Upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates as per the GOI Norms (as on the date of interview)

Selection Procedure for IASST Recruitment 2023

Selection will be based on the performance in the entrance test as well as in the interview. The expected dates of Entrance test and interview will be displayed in website/communicated to selected candidates.

List of applicants selected to appear in the entrance test will be uploaded in the IASST website. The decisions of the admission committee will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Results of written test and interview will be available in IASST website and all correspondence must be done through the email to registrar@iasst.gov.in

Candidates holding national fellowship from different funding agencies like CSIR- UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICAR-JRF etc. need not to appear for the written test but have to appear in the interview for final selection.

Selected candidates, after joining, will be eligible to apply for PhD admission in AcSIR or University under which supervisor is affiliated.

Fellowship/ Financial support for Institutional JRF

Selected candidates will be required to join the institutional fellowship program of IASST within 15 days from the date of announcement of result.

The selected candidates shall be eligible for a monthly stipend and annual contingency as per the recent circular of DST, Govt. of India on fellowship for Ph.D. Subject to availability of seat, selected candidates will be provided accommodation in the Dorothy Hodgkin Student and Scientists Home as per the Institute’s rule.
