Eligibility Criteria For KKHSOU Guwahati Recruitment
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
1) Controller of Examinations
Master’s Degree
- At least 55% marks or equivalent grade
Experience
- 15 years as Assistant Professor (Academic Level 11 and above)
- OR 8 years as Associate Professor (Academic Level 12 and above) with educational administration experience
- OR comparable experience in research or higher education institutions
- OR 15 years of administrative experience with 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent
Public Examination Experience
- Experience in conducting Public Examinations in any University
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. Degree: From a recognized University
- Public Examination Experience: Additional weightage for Open University experience
- Distance Education: Degree/diploma in Distance Education
- Work Experience: Experience in Open University/Distance Education System
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computer
2) Deputy Registrar (Academic)
Master’s Degree
- At least 55% marks or equivalent grade
Experience
- 9 years as Assistant Professor (Academic Level 10 and above) with educational administration experience
- OR comparable experience in research or higher education institutions
- OR 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. Degree: From a recognized University
- Distance Education: Degree/diploma in Distance Education
- Work Experience: Experience in Open University/Distance Education System
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computer
3) Assistant Librarian
Master’s Degree
- In Library Science/Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree
- At least 55% marks or equivalent grade (B in the seven-point scale) with a consistently good academic record
NET Qualification
- Qualified in the NET conducted by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC
Desirable Qualifications:
- Distance Education: Degree/diploma in Distance Education
- Work Experience: Experience in Open University/Distance Education System
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computer
4) Professor in Information Technology
A. Scholarly Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
- Published work of high quality with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
- Total score of 120 as per the criteria in Annexure I
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at University/National Level Institutions with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates
OR
B. Professional Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines
- Significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence
- 10 years of experience in academic institutions (not included in A above) or industry
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in distance education or working experience in a distance education institution
- Adequate knowledge of computer
- Proficiency in both Assamese and English languages
5) Associate Professor in Philosophy
Scholarly Qualifications:
- Good academic record with a Ph.D. in Philosophy
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed)
- Minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/Industry
- Minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
- Total research score of 75 as per the criteria in Annexure I
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree/diploma in distance education or working experience in a distance education institution
- Adequate knowledge of computers
- Proficiency in both Assamese and English languages
