GIC Assistant Manager (Scale-I) Salary
Basic Pay Rs. 50,925 per month in the scale of Rs. 50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and other admissible allowances like DA, HRA, CCA, etc.
GIC Recruitment Age Limit
The candidates must be between 21 years of age to 30 years of age as on 01.10.2023. The candidates should have been born not earlier than 02.10.1993 and not later than 01.10.2002 (both days inclusive)
Age Relaxation: The permissible relaxations in the upper age limit for different categories are mentioned below:
- SC/ ST: 05 Years
- OBC: 03 Years
- PwD: 10 Years
GIC Recruitment Educational Qualification
- Hindi: Post Graduation in Hindi with English as one of the subjects in Graduation OR Postgraduate in English with Hindi as one of the subjects in Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% marks for SC/ST candidates. Certification in Translation work or work experience in translation is desirable.
- General: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation/ MBA is desirable.
- Statistics: Graduation in Statistics with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation is desirable.
- Economics: Graduation in Economics/ Econometrics with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation is desirable.
- Legal: Bachelor’s degree in law recognized by Bar Council of India for the purpose of enrollment as an Advocate with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. LLM/ Experience/ Civil/ Cyber qualifications are desirable.
- HR: Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in Degree examination for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% marks for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation in HRM/ Personnel Management is desirable.
- Engineering: Bachelor’s degree (B.E/ B.Tech) in Civil/ Aeronautical/ Marine/ Petrochemical/ Metallurgy/ Meteorologist/ Remote Sensing/ Geo-Informatics/ Geographic Information System with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. M.E/ M.Tech/ MS/ Experience in the respective stream is desirable.
- IT: B.E. in CSE /B.E. in IT /B.E. in ECE/B.E. in ETC/ B. Tech in CSE/ B. Tech in IT/ B. Tech in ECE/ B. Tech in ETC with a minimum of 60% marks for General and OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST category candidates OR MCA with a minimum of 60% marks for General and OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST category candidates. Essential skills as mentioned below, Post Graduation/Experience in IT projects in respective fields is desirable.
- Actuary: Graduate with Maths/ Statistics with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% marks for SC/ST candidates. Candidates should have passed a minimum of 7 papers of the Institute of Actuaries Society of India or Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, London out of which CS2 is compulsory.
- Insurance: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates should possess a Post Graduate Degree/diploma in General Insurance/ Risk Management/ Life Insurance/ FIII/ FCII.
- Medical (MBBS): MBBS degree with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates.
- Hydrologist: B. Sc in Hydrology with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation is desirable.
- Geophysicist: B. Sc in Geo Physics or Applied Geo Physics with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation is desirable.
- Agriculture Science: B. Sc in Agriculture Science with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation is desirable.
- Nautical Science: Graduation in Nautical Science with a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and a minimum of 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post Graduation/Sailing Experience (Sea-time) is desirable.
GIC Recruitment Selection Process
The selection for the above post shall be on the basis of shortlisting of the candidates based on Online Test, performance in Group Discussion & interview and medical examination. The total marks for Online Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.
