Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates awaiting results can also apply but must obtain the essential qualification by 01.08.2024.
- Male candidates applying for the Sub Inspector post in Delhi Police must possess a valid LMV (Motorcycle and Car) driving license by the date of Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT). Those without this license are eligible for the Sub-Inspector post in CAPFs only.
Citizenship:
Candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India,
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan.
- Candidates from Nepal or Bhutan must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
- Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility will be admitted to the examination, but appointment offers will be given only after obtaining the necessary eligibility certificate from the Government of India.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 to 25 years old as of 1st August 2024. Candidates must have been born between 02.08.1999 and 01.08.2004 to be eligible to apply.

- OBC: 3 years
