Eligibility Criteria For APSC Recruitment
Educational Qualification:
- Degree in Science, Commerce, or Arts with Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics as a subject from a recognized University.
Desirable:
- Minimum six months Diploma in Computer Application.
Citizenship:
- Indian Citizens as per Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residency:
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Provide proof of residency with PRC issued in Assam or Employment Exchange Registration certificate for the application.
Employment Exchange Registration requirement:
- Candidates must be registered with any of the employment exchanges in Assam.
Age Limit For Research Assistant Posts
The candidates age must be between 21 years to 38 years of age as on 1st January 2024.
The category-wise Age Relaxation is as mentioned below:
- SC candidates: 5 years
- ST candidates: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC candidates: 3 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 10 years

The pay scale for APSC Research Assistant is Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9,400/-(PB-3).
