1. TGT Social Science:
(a) Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate with any two of the following subjects:- History, Geography, Economics and Political Science of which one must be either History or Geography)
(b) B.Ed or equivalent degree from recognized university
(c) Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)/ Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by CBSE / State Govts in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose with minimum 60% marks.
(d) Proficiency in teaching in English Medium.
(e)Â Desirable:Â Knowledge of Computer Application
(f)Â Salary: Rs 41,200/- approx pm.
Note:Â A Post Graduate in the subject applicable with less than 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation can also apply for the post of TGT provided the candidate has scored a minimum 50% or more aggregate marks in Post Graduation.
2. TGT Mathematics:
(a) Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate with any two of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics.Â
(b) B.Ed or equivalent degree from recognized university
(c) Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)/ Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by CBSE / State Govts in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose with minimum 60% marks.
(d) Proficiency in teaching in English Medium
(e)Â Desirable:Â Knowledge of Computer Application

- Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with 50% marks Or Graduation in Physical education with 40% marks Or Graduation in Physical Education, i.e. B PEd Course or its equivalent of three years Or Graduate having represented State / University in Sports/ games / athletics and
- Bachelor of Physical education (BPEd) of at least one year duration or its equivalent from NCTE recognized institution.

8. Counsellor:

9. Music Teacher (Western):
(a) Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor Degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized University with professional skill in any two Western Musical Instruments.

10. Primary Teacher:
(a) Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject / combination of subjects and in aggregate
- B. El. Ed. / 02 Year D. El. Ed. Candidates with B.Ed or Integrated B.Ed can also apply with fulfillment of the condition of six month PDPET/Bridge Course from an NCTE recognized institute as when NCTE approves any institute to conduct the said Course within two years of recruitment as PRT or commencement of the course whichever is later.
(b) Pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) / Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), conducted by CBSE / State Govts in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose with minimum 60% marks.
(c)Â Competence to teach through English medium

Eligibility Criteria for for the APS Shillong Recruitment 2024
- Both OST Qualified & Non-OST Qualified Candidates can apply.
- But, Candidates selected for appointment as Teachers (except Music Teacher, Art& Craft Teacher, and PRT Computer) need to pass OST within one year of appointment with a minimum overall row score of 80 (40%) if not passed earlier.

- Experienced Candidate: Below 57 yrs (Minimum 5 years experience in the appropriate category in the last 10 years)

Eligible & interested candidates who wish to apply for the APS Shillong Recruitment 2024 must follow the steps given below:
- Step 1: Download the application form from the official website apsshillong.in OR, collect the application form from the school office.
- Step 2: Fill in all the details of the form and attach self-attested testimonials and other necessary documents to your application form.
- Step 3: Pay for a DD of Rs. 100 at your nearest Bank in favour of Army Public School, Shillong.
- Step 4: Submit the application form, testimonials, other necessary documents and the DD to the school office or send it to APS Shillong by post.
Note: All applications must reach the Army Public School, Shillong on or before 24th February, 2024.
