AHSEC Syllabus 2020-2021:

Assam AHSEC HS Syllabus 2021: Both HS 1st Year and HS 2nd Year

Due to the current situation in the state, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to reduce the syllabus for both HS 1st year and HS 2nd year by up to 30% for the exams to be held in 2021.

Educational Institutes in Assam are closed since March this year and due to which the full syllabus could not be completed. Keeping this fact in mind, AHSEC has taken the step of reducing the Assam AHSEC HS Syllabus by up to 30%.

Assam AHSEC HS Syllabus 2020-2021 Details:

NAME OF CLASSES: Higher Secondary 1st Year and Higher Secondary 2nd Year

NAME OF BOARD: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)

ACADEMIC SESSION: 2020-2021

Based on the feedback and valued suggestions of different educational institutes and experts, the Academic Committee of AHSEC in its meeting held on 19-08-2020 had decided to reduce the 30% volume of the course
contents of Higher Secondary First Year & Higher Secondary Second Year to be made judiciously to remain acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the subject. It is also decided that the skill-based subjects, including Music which carries 30 marks in theory must not be reduced. The subject ‘Environmental Education’ is also not reduced as it carries 50 marks only.

The main objective is to reduce the exam stress of the students of the session 2020-21, due to this pandemic situation and to prevent learning gaps.

This syllabus is only the reduced portion for the preparation of upcoming final exams of HS 1st and 2nd year to be held in 2021.
