Eligibility Criteria For Assam Secretariat Recruitment
Qualification & Experience:
1) Additional Secretary:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as Joint Secretary or equivalent in any Govt. Department of Assam.
- Sound knowledge in Constitutional Law and Parliamentary Practice & Procedure.
- Preference given to individuals possessing a Degree of Bachelor of Law from any recognized University.
2) Protocol Officer:
- Possession of a Master’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks from any recognized University.
- Minimum of 4 years of working experience in any Govt./Semi Govt. Office/Organization.
- Preference given to candidates with a degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management.
- Proficiency in English, Assamese, & Hindi languages is required.
3) Language Reporter Grade-II:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from any recognized University.
- Eligibility for Speed Test at 100 w.p.m. in Assamese requires a Certificate of Stenography in Assamese with 80 w.p.m. from any Institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam.
- Adequate knowledge of Computer application with DTP in Assamese is necessary.
4) Assistant Librarian:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from any recognized University.
- Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience dealing with Library Management in reputed Institution/Organization/Govt. Office.
- Practical knowledge in digital Library is required.
5) Stenographer Grade-III (English):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from any recognized University.
- Eligibility for Speed Test at 80 w.p.m. in English requires a Certificate in Stenography from ITI in Assam or any other Institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India.
- Adequate knowledge of Computer Application and a good command over the English Language are necessary.
Age Limit For Assam Secretariat Posts
1) Additional Secretary:
The candidate should not be less than 50 years and not more than 55 (fifty-five) years of age at the time of application.
2) Protocol Officer:
The candidate should not be less than 35 years and not more than 40 (forty) years of age at the time of application.
3) Language Reporter Grade-II:
The candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 (thirty-eight) years of age at the time of application.
4) Assistant Librarian:
The candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 (thirty-eight) years of age at the time of application.
5) Stenographer Grade-III (English):
The candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 (thirty-eight) years of age at the time of application, where the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST (P) candidates, i.e., up to 43 years.

Pay Scale for Assam Secretariat Vacancies

Grade Pay: 17,500 per month
