Project Name: Development of an Intelligent System for Weather Forecasting, Smart Farming and Information Dissemination for the Scheduled Tribe Community of Barak River Basin using Satellite Image Processing, ML and IoT.
Eligibility Criteria For Assam University Silchar Recruitment
1) Research Assistant:
- B.Sc/ M.Sc/B.E./ B.Tech in IT/ CS from a recognized university or equivalent.
2) Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- M.Sc/ MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech in IT/ CS with CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE or selection through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments, their agencies, and Institutions.
3) Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
Qualification for JRF (Junior Research Fellow) with two years of research experience:
- Post Graduate Degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks.
- Two years of research experience.
Note: The position of JRF and SRF may be extended one more year based on the availability of the fund. The said position is on temporary basis and coterminous with the project.

- Research Assistant: Rs. 20,000 Per Month + HRA
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000 Per Month + HRA
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000 Per Month + HRA
