The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Science (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong has recently released an official notification regarding the recruitment of 20 Assistnat Professor Vacancy in various departments purely on adhoc basis.

Age Limit: the age of the candidates should not exceed 50 Years

Salary: Assistant Professor: Level 12 (Rs. 1,01,500 – Rs. 1,67,400) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs. 1,01,500 + NPA per month and other allowances as admissible

Educational Qualification for NEIGRIHMS Shillong Recruitment 2021

  • Anaesthesiology:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D/M.S or

iii. a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iv. Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

v. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council

  • General Medicine:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. A Postgraduate qualification e.g MD or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. Three years teaching and /or research experience in recognised Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council

  • General Surgery:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. A Postgraduate qualification e.g MS or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. Three years teaching and /or research experience in recognised Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

  • Hospital Administration:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. Or Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from a recognized Institution/University qualification equivalent thereto.

iii. Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

  • Medical Oncology:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. D.M (2 years or3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto in the respective discipline subject.

iii. One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M (2 years or5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or qualification recognised equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of D.M or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council

  • Nephrology:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. D.M (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto in the respective discipline subject.

iii. One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of D.M or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

iv.The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

  • Neurosurgery:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. M.Ch. (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognised course) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years course recognised after MBBS) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognised degree of M.Ch. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

  • Neurology:

i. ii. A Postgraduate qualification e.g MD or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. Three years teaching and /or research experience in recognised Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council

  • Radiotherapy:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. A Postgraduate qualification e.g MD or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. Three years teaching and /or research experience in recognised Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council

  • Surgical Oncology:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. M.Ch. (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognised course) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years course recognised after MBBS) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognised degree of M.Ch. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

  • Urology:

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the subsection (3) of section 13 of the Act.

ii. M.Ch. (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognised course) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. One-year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years course recognised after MBBS) or a qualification recognised equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognised degree of M.Ch. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

The interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications in the prescribed proforma (Annexure–I) along with the scanned copies of their certificates by email to neigrihms.recruitment@gmail.com. The last date for submission of application is 22.06.2021(Tuesday) till 5:30 PM.

vii. DM/MCh/MD/MS/DNB passed certificate

viii. Verification certificate of DNB degree verified by NBE.

ix. Medical Registration Certificate for MBBS/MD/DM/Mch/MS/DNB/Diploma

x. NOC from the present employer (if employed)

xi. Experience Certificate (if applicable)

xii. Residence Certificate issued by a competent authority or Aadhar card or voter ID or Passport

xiii. Integrity/Character Certificate from the last Institute worked with.
