Age Limit for ONGC Apprentice

The age limit eligibility criteria is that the candidates’ age must be minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 20.09.2023 i.e., the date of birth of the candidates should be between 20.09.1999 and 20.09.2005

Age Relaxation: The ONGC Apprentice category-wise age relaxation is as follows:

• SC/ ST: 05 years
• OBC: 03 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• PwBD (OBC/ NCL): 13 years
• PwBD (SC/ ST): 15 years

Duration: The duration of training is 12 months for all the trades mentioned above

Stipend:

• Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 9,000
• Trade Apprentice: Rs. 7,000
• Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 8,000

ONGC Apprentice Selection Process

• The selections for engagement of Apprentices would be based on the merit drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination as stipulated in the advertisement. In case of a similar number in merit, a person with higher age would be considered. 
• No canvassing or influencing would be acceptable at any time and may result in rejection of the candidature.
• Reservation of positions will be followed as per Government of India Policy on SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD/ EWS categories.

• For Trade Apprentices: With Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/

• For Technician Apprentices: With the concerned Regional Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) in their portal National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) under Ministry of Human Resource Development.
