The Directorate of tea Tribes Welfare (TTWD), Assam has released an official notification regarding the recruitment of 97 Programme Manager, MIS Manager, Accounts Manager and Data Entry Operator Vacancy.

1. State Programme Manager at State HQ
Name of Post: State Programme Manager at State HQ
No. of Posts: 01
Educational Qualification: Masters in Social Works/ Sociology, MBA (HR), Mass Communication
Additional Qualification: 03 Years experience in Govt. PSU/ Autonomous Body with 01 Year Diploma in Computer Application from any Govt. recognized Institute
Salary: Rs. 35,000 + Rs. 10,000 (TA)
2. State Programme Manager at Sub-Divisional HQs
Name of Post: State Programme Manager at Sub-Divisional HQs
No. of Posts: 46
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline
Additional Qualification: Preferably 02 Years experience in Govt. PSU/ Autonomous Body with 06 months Diploma in Computer Application from any Govt. recognized Institute
Salary: Rs. 18,000 + Rs. 3,000 (TA)
3. State MIS Managers at State HQ
Name of Post: State MIS Managers at State HQ
No. of Posts: 01
Educational Qualification: BE in Computer Science/ Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering/ MCA from Govt. recognized University or Institute
Additional Qualification: Must have 01 Year proficiency in Office Database Management
Salary: Rs. 30,000
4. Accounts Manager at State HQ
Name of Post: Accounts Manager at State HQ

Educational Qualification: Graduate in Commerce Stream
Additional Qualification: Must have Computer proficiency in MS Office applications especially MS-Excel & Tally
Salary: Rs. 25,000
5. Data Entry Operators (State & Sub-Divisional Levels)

Educational Qualification: PU/ HSSLC or equivalent exam
Additional Qualification: Must have Computer proficiency in MS Office with a minimum typing speed of 40 (forty) words per minute in English and Assamese/ Bengali
Salary: State Level = Rs. 15,00, Sub-Divisional Level = Rs. 12,000

Phase-I: Objective type written test
Phase-II: Computer Practical Test
Phase-III: Viva-voce exam will be held for all posts except Data Entry Operator.

About TTWD Assam
There is more than 1000 tea garden in Assam where workers originally coming from Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh ad West Bengal have engaged themselves and subsequently settled in Assam permanently. They are known as Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes, who are recognized as Other Background Classes [OBC] by the Government. These people not only constitute a sizeable chunk of the population in the state but also play a major role in tea production of the state [about 53% of the total tea production of the country] and this contributes to the economy of the state.
