Eligibility Criteria For Tezpur University Recruitment

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

1) Professor:

• Ph.D. degree in relevant field
• First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in relevant branch
• Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry
• At least 3 years at Associate Professor level
• At least 6 research publications in SCI journals or UGC/AICTE approved journals at Associate Professor level
• At least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor/Co-Supervisor OR 10 research publications at Associate Professor level

2) Associate Professor:

• Ph.D. degree in relevant field
• First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in relevant branch
• Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry
• At least 2 years post Ph.D. experience
• At least 6 research publications in SCI journals or UGC/AICTE approved journals

For Engineering/Technology:

• B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees

For Design:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design/any branch of Engineering & Technology with First Class or equivalent
• Master’s Degree in Design with First Class or equivalent

3) Assistant Professor:

• Academic score as per UGC Regulations, 2018, in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities is considered for short-listing candidates for interviews.
• Selections are based on performance in the interview, including a pre-interview presentation.
• Existing incumbents with basic minimum qualifications are eligible subject to fulfillment of other criteria and higher qualifications as prescribed.
