Eligibility Criteria For APSC PWD Recruitment
Educational Qualification:
- Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a government-recognized technical institute.
- The Diploma must be obtained through a regular course; diplomas earned via Distance Mode of Education are not accepted.
Local Language Proficiency:
- Adequate knowledge of at least one official language of the State of Assam (Assamese, Bengali, or Bodo) is required.
- Candidates from Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council are exempt from this requirement.
Citizenship:
- Indian Citizens as per Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residency:
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Provide proof of residency with PRC issued in Assam or Employment Exchange Registration certificate for the application.
Employment Exchange Registration requirement:
- Candidates must be registered with any of the employment exchanges in Assam.
Age Limit For Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Posts
The candidates age must be between 21 years to 38 years of age as on 1st January 2024.
The category-wise Age Relaxation is as mentioned below:
- SC candidates: 5 years
- ST candidates: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC Candidates: 3 years
