Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & Research Assistant (RA)

- Research Assistant (RA): 01 Post
Name of the Project: “Development of an Intelligent System for Weather Forecasting, Smart Farming and
Information Dissemination for the Scheduled Tribe Community of Barak River Basin using Satellite Image Processing, ML and IoT” for a period of one year initially.
Note: The JRF and SRF positions may be extended for an additional year if funds are available. These positions are temporary and end with the project.
Eligibility Criteria For AU Silchar Recruitment
Qualification & Experience:
1) Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
- The qualification required for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is a postgraduate degree with two years of research experience.
2) Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- To be eligible for the position, candidates should have an MSc/ MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech in IT/ CS/ Data Science/ AI/ ML and must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE or have been selected through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments, agencies, and institutions.
3) Research Assistant (RA):
- Qualifications for the position include BCA/ B.Sc/ M.Sc/ B.E./ B.Tech in IT/ CS/ Data Science/ AI/ ML from a recognized university or equivalent.
Salary For Assam University Vacancies
The salary for SRF, JRF & RA vacancies under AU Silchar Recruitment 2024 is:
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000 + HRA
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000 + HRA
- Research Assistant (RA): Rs. 20,000 + HRA
