The Directorate of Museum, Assam has released an official notification regarding the recruitment of 07 District Museum Officer, Architect and Chemist Vacancy.

Directorate of Museum Assam Recruitment
1. District Museum Officer Grade-I
Name of Post: District Museum Officer Grade-I
No. of Posts: 5 (Five)
Department: Cultural Affairs Department, Assam
Reservation: UR: 02, OBC/ MOBC: 01, SC: 01, ST(P): 01
Salary: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 (Pay Band 4)+ Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of The Govt. of Assam.
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate degree in History (Ancient)/ Anthropology/ Archaeology/ Sanskrit from a recognized University with knowledge of Museum training /method
OR
M.A in Museology from a recognized University.
(Attach self attested valid supporting documents.)
***The candidates who are in Govt. service must apply through proper channel. Preference will be given to Departmental (Museum Service) candidates.
Age Limit:
The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable
(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. up to 43 years
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
(iii) For Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ ST/ OBC and General Category of candidates as per Govt. Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized Board/ Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. As a domicile proof of the candidate, one of the documents viz. PRC/ Voters ID card/ Employment Exchange Registration need to be enclosed.
Physical Fitness:
A candidate for direct recruitment shall be:
a) Of sound health, both mentally and physically.
b) Required to undergo medical examination before appointment to the Service.
2. Assistant Architect Grade-I (Gazetted)

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from recognized University/ Institution. Should be registered with the architecture council of India.
Age Limit:
The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable
