EDCIL Teacher Trainers Vacancy Details
Name of the Posts: TGT & PGT Teacher Trainers
No. of Posts: 50 Posts
Subjects:
- English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry
School Levels:
- TGT Teachers for 10th Grade (O level) and PGT Teachers for 12th Grade (A level)
Locations:
- Kandy and Matale
- Nuwara Eliya
- Ratnapura and Kegalle
- Badulla
These teacher trainers will be deployed to schools in Sri Lanka for a contractual period of approximately 3 months, from 1st July 2024 to 30th September 2024.
Eligibility Criteria For EDCIL Teacher Trainers Recruitment
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Proficiency in teaching in Tamil & English is mandatory.
- Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.
- Bachelor’s of Education (B.Ed.) Degree from a recognized university (desirable).
- Minimum 5 years of full-time relevant teaching experience is mandatory in the subject concerned for 10th (TGT) and 12th (PGT) level.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in providing training to teachers covering subject matter/curriculum/pedagogy/instructional strategies/classroom management is desirable.
The selected teacher trainers will train Sri Lankan teachers in subjects, curriculum, pedagogy, instructional strategies, classroom management, educational technologies, etc.

The maximum age limit for EDCIL Teacher Trainers Recruitment 2024 is 65 years old as on 5th March, 2024.
Age relaxation will be given as per the rules of government.
