Eligibility Criteria For IBPS RRB Recruitment
Qualification & Experience:
1) Office Assistant (Multipurpose):
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
- Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
2) Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- Preference for degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy.
- Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s*.
- Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
3) Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer (Manager)):
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
- Two years of experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
4) Officer Scale-II (Information Technology):
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
- One year of experience in the relevant field.
5) Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant):
- Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- One year of experience as a Chartered Accountant.
6) Officer Scale-II (Law):
- Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Two years of experience as an advocate or as a Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions.
7) Officer Scale-II (Marketing):
- MBA in Marketing from a recognized university.
- One year of experience in the relevant field.
8) Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager):
- Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/institution.
- One year of experience in the relevant field.
9) Officer Scale-II (Agriculture):
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Two years of experience in the relevant field.
10) Officer Scale-III:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Preference for degrees/diplomas in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Nationality / Citizenship:
- Citizen of India or
- Subject of Nepal or
- Subject of Bhutan or
- Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Language Proficiency:
- Candidates applying for Office Assistant posts in any RRB must possess proficiency in the local language of the State/UT where the RRB is located to be eligible for the interview.
Note: Candidates from categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit For IBPS RRB Posts
Age Limit (As on 1st june, 2024):
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years
- Born between 2nd June, 1996 and 1st June, 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years – Below 30 years
- Born between 3rd June, 1994 and 30th June, 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Officer Scale-II (Manager): Above 21 years – Below 32 years
- Born between 3rd June, 1992 and 31st May, 2003 (both dates inclusive).
- Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years – Below 40 years
- Born between 3rd June, 1984 and 31st May, 2003 (both dates inclusive).
Category-Wise Age Relaxation:
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- PWD: 10 years
