The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, recently released their official notification for the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023. This scheme was introduced with the aim of empowering and helping gifted students from the SC & OBC communities.

Students selected for this scheme will be given ample help with their preparations for the big exams. They will also be given a fixed stipend every month to aid for additional educational things like books.

Objective of SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023
The SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023 was introduced by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. The main aim behind launching this scheme was to give an equal & fair chance to students belonging to the SC & OBC categories.
Students selected for the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023 will not only be given free coaching, but also a monthly stipend to help them with the cost of their education.
Monthly Allowance granted for the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023
Students who are selected for the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023 can refer to the details given below:
- Rs. 3000 will be provided monthly for local students.
- Rs. 6000 will be provided monthly to the outstation students.
- Physically disabled students having more than 40% disability will be Rs. 2000 per month as a special allowance.
Eligibility Criteria for the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023
- Only students belonging to the SC & OBC category can apply for this scheme.
- The students will be selected by the coaching institution based on their past academic results.
- The annual family income of the students must not exceed Rs. 8,00,000
- One student can enroll under the scheme only once.
- Coaching will be provided for preliminary and main examinations.
- Students can take coaching for preliminary and main examinations two times.
- The selected candidate will have to attend all the classes.
- If the candidate takes a leave of 15 days or more, he/she will be banned from the coaching & eliminated from the scheme.

- The SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023 will help gifted students from economically weaker positions to dream big, without any worry about their financial conditions.
- SC & OBC students will be able to take part in coaching classes for some of the toughest exams in the country.

Procedure of Implementing the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023
The SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023 will be implemented under the jurisdiction of the following authorities:
- Universities (both Central and State) including the Deemed Universities and Private Universities recognized by concerned authority
- Registered private institutions/NGOs.
- Central Government/ State Governments/ UT Administrations/ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies under Central/ State Governments
Courses offered for the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023
Students interested in availing the SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2023 can apply for coaching for the following examinstions/courses:
- State Public Service Commission Examinations
- Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and the various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) Examinations
- Officers Grade examinations conducted by Banks, Insurance Companies, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
- Entrance Examinations for admission such as IIT-JEE & AIEEE, AIPMT, Management (eg. CAT) and Law (eg. CLAT) and any other such disciplines decided by the Ministry.
- Eligibility tests/examinations like SAT, GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL
