Eligibility Criteria For AIIMS Guwahati Recruitment
1) Eligibility Criteria for Professors
Medical Candidates
Qualifications:
- Medical qualification as per the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or recognized equivalent in the respective discipline/subject.
- M.Ch. for surgical super specialties or D.M. for medical super specialties (2, 3, or 5-year recognized courses) or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- 14 years of teaching/research experience in the specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree (M.D./M.S. or equivalent).
- 12 years of experience if holding an M.Ch./D.M. (2 or 5-year course after MBBS) in the respective specialty.
- 11 years of experience if holding a 3-year D.M./M.Ch. in the respective specialty.
Non-Medical Candidates
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification (e.g., Master’s degree) in the discipline/allied subject.
- Doctorate degree in the concerned discipline.
Experience:
- 14 years of teaching/research experience in the discipline after obtaining the doctorate degree.
2) Eligibility Criteria for Additional Professors
Medical Candidates
Qualifications:
- Same as for Professors (Medical).
Experience:
- 10 years of teaching/research experience in the specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree (M.D./M.S. or equivalent).
Super Specialty Disciplines
Qualifications:
- Same as for Professors (Medical).
- D.M. for medical super specialties or M.Ch. for surgical super specialties (2, 3, or 5-year recognized courses) or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- 8 years of teaching/research experience in the specialty after obtaining D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course after MBBS) or equivalent.
- 7 years of experience if holding a 3-year D.M./M.Ch. in the respective specialty.
Non-Medical Candidates
Qualifications:
- Same as for Professors (Non-Medical).
Experience:
- 10 years of teaching/research experience in the discipline after obtaining the doctorate degree.
3) Eligibility Criteria for Associate Professors

- 6 years of teaching/research experience in the specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree (M.D./M.S. or equivalent).

Qualifications:
- Same as for Professors (Medical).
Experience:
- 3 years of teaching/research experience in the specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree (M.D./M.S. or equivalent).
Super Specialty Disciplines
Qualifications:
- Same as for Professors (Medical).
- D.M. for medical super specialties or M.Ch. for surgical super specialties (2, 3, or 5-year recognized courses) or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
- 1 year of teaching/research experience in the specialty after obtaining D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course after MBBS) or equivalent.

Age Limit For AIIMS Posts
Maximum Age Limit:
- Professor / Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years as on the last date of the online application.
- Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years as on the last date of the online application.
