Eligibility Criteria for Directorate of Archaeology Assam Recruitment 2021
Nationality:
(i) The candidates must be a permanent resident of Assam. As a domicile proof of the candidate, one of the documents viz., PRC/ Voter ID Card need to be enclosed along with the application.
(ii) He/ She must have registered his/ her name in any Employment Exchange of Assam and should have a valid Employment Exchange Card.
Salary for Directorate of Archaeology Assam Recruitment 2021
LDA (HQ Level): Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
LDA (District Level):Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Foreman: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,600 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Planning Assistant: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay Rs. 7,600 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Draftsmen: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,800 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Driver: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 60,500 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,200 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Monument Attendant: Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 37,000 + Grade Pay Rs. 3,900 (PB-2) per month + other allowances as per rules of the Govt. of Assam.

Age Limit for Directorate of Archaeology Assam Recruitment 2021
The candidates should not be more than 40 Years and less than 18 Years of age as on 01-01-2020 (i.e., the candidates must be born on or before 01-01-2020 and or or after 01-01-1980)
Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as under:
(i) For SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) Candidates: 05 (five) Years
(ii) For OBC/ MOBC Candidates: 03 (three) Years
(iii) For Ex-servicemen: 02 (two) Years
(iv) For PWD Candidates: 10 (ten) Years
Educational Qualification for Directorate of Archaeology Assam Recruitment 2021
LDA (HQ Level):
- The candidate must possess a Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt.
- Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum 06 (six) months Computer Certificate with skills for handling data and text along with English and Assamese typing on Computer.
LDA (District Level):
- The candidate must possess a Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt.
- Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum 06 (six) months Computer Certificate with skills for handling data and text along with English and Assamese typing on Computer.
Foreman:
The candidate must have passed HS or equivalent examination in any discipline from any recognized Board/ Council, etc.
Planning Assistant:
- The candidate must possess a Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt.
- Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum 06 (six) months Computer Certificate with skills for handling data and text along with English and Assamese typing on Computer.
Draftsmen:
- The candidate must have passed HS or equivalent examination in any discipline from any recognized Board/ Council, etc.
- The candidate should also have 01 (one) year valid certificate in draftsmanship in a survey from Govt. recognized Institute.
Driver:
The candidate must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ Council etc. with a Valid Driving License.
Monument Attendant: Minimum Class 8th Passed
Peon: Minimum Class 8th Passed
Chowkidar: Minimum Class 8th Passed
Handyman: Minimum Class 8th Passed

Selection Procedure for Directorate of Archaeology Assam Recruitment 2021
- Those candidates whose applications are found to be in order will be called for a Written Test to be held at the place and date to be notified in due course.
- Those candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be further called for Computer Practical Test, wherever applicable and documents verification as the case may be on dates to be notified later on and will have to appear in such tests at their own expenses.
