Eligibility Criteria for Intelligence Bureau Recruitment
i) Deputy Director/ Tech (02 vacancies), General Central Service (Group ‘A’), Gazetted, Non-Ministerial:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from a recognized university (B.E, B.Tech, or B.Sc(Engg)).
- Associate Membership of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
- Graduate ship awarded by Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (AMIETE) in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
- Master of Science in Physics with specialization in Electronics or Telecommunications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, or Software Engineering from a recognized university (B.E, B.Tech, or B.Sc(Engg)).
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA) after completing a three-year Bachelor of Science in Physics.
- Master of Science (Information Technology), Master of Science (Computer Science/Computer Application), or Master of Science (Software) from a recognized university/institute.

- Minimum of seven years of professional experience, with at least three years of experience in intelligence work.

- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience, with at least three years of experience in the field of intelligence collection.

viii) Senior Research Officer (2 vacancies), General Central Service (Group-A),Gazetted, Non-Ministerial:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Management, or Commerce from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of experience in:
- Macro-Economic Analysis/Research work
- Preparation of reports on contemporary economic issues and future economic trends.

Salary for the IB Recruitment 2024
- Deputy Director/Tech: Level 13A (Rs. 1,31,100 – Rs. 2,16,600) in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
- Deputy Central Intelligence Officer/Exe: Level 10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500) of the pay matrix of the 7th CPC
- Addl. Dty Director/Crypto: (Level 13 of the pay matrix Rs. 1,18,500-2,14,100 of 7th CPC)
- Deputy Central Intelligence Officer/Tech: Pay Band 3: Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs 5400/-. equivalent to Level 10 of the pay matrix Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 as per 7th CPC.
- Joint Deputy Director/Exe: Level-12 (Rs. 78,800 – 2,09,200) of the pay matrix of 7th CPC
- Deputy Central Intelligence Officer/Tech-Tele: Level 10 of the pay matrix Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 as per 7th CPC
- Assistant Director/Exe: Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700)
