Indian Air Force Recruitment 2023 Details
1. Name of Post: AFCAT Entry
A) Flying Branch
No. of Posts: 38 Posts
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.
- Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- OR, BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- OR, Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Age Limit: 20-24 years
B) Ground Duty (Technical) Branch
No. of Posts: 165 Posts
i) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/ integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University.
- OR, Cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the disciplines mentioned in the notification PDF.
ii) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/ integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognised University.
- OR, Cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the disciplines mentioned in the notification PDF.
Age Limit: 20 to 26 years
C) Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch
No. of Posts: 114 Posts
i) Administration
Educational Qualifications:
- Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- OR, cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
ii) Accounts Branch
No. of Posts: 165 Posts
Educational Qualifications:
- Passed 10+2 and done graduation in any of the streams mentioned in the notification PDF with 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university.
2. Name of Post: NCC Special Entry
Flying Branch: 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.
Educational Qualifications:
- NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after 01 Dec 17. Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2
- Graduates with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
- OR, BE/ B. Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent

Salary
Flying Officer: Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500 (Level 10)
Note: Flying Cadets shall receive a fixed stipend of Rs. 56,100 per month during one year of training.
Age Limit
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 01st January 2025 i.e., born between 02nd January 2001 to 01st January 2005 (both date inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is releasable upto 26 year i.e., born between 2nd January 1999 to 1st January 2005 (both date inclusive)
- Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as on 01st January 2025 i.e., born between 02nd January 1999 to 01st January 2005 (both date inclusive)
