This scheme aims to help all employees of the Assam Government, regardless of their socio-economic status can get access to healthcare.
This scheme gives all employees of the Assam Government, both retired and currently-working, will be given a medical coverage of Rs. 5,00,000 (5 Lakhs)

The main features of the Assam Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana are listed below:
- All employees of the Assam State Government, whether currently working or retired will be given a medical coverage (insurance) of Rs. 5 Lakhs
- The applicant’s family members are also covered under this scheme.
- This will make healthcare more affordable, and using the kiosks at Medical Colleges makes it more easily accessible.
- The CGHS approved rated will be charged for beneficiaries.
- Direct advance payments will be given to hospitals.
- All payments will be made within a 90 day limit.
