Assam Orunodoi 3.0

Orunodoi 3.0 commenced on December 3, 2022, aiming to support over 24 lakh impoverished families in Assam. Women will receive Rs. 1250 monthly directly to enhance their livelihoods.

With a budget allocation of approximately Rs. 4000 Crore, this initiative aims to alleviate poverty and empower women.

Additionally, about 10.58 lakh new beneficiaries will benefit from this scheme, increasing the total to around 27.77 lakhs.

Notably, individuals receiving aid from the Deen Dayal Divyangjan scheme and the Indira Miri Sarbojonin Bishwa Pension Achoni will now be included in Orunodoi 3.0, making it the largest direct-to-account monetary scheme in Assam.

Objectives of Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme

The Arunodoi 3.0 Scheme focuses on aiding impoverished families within our state, ensuring their financial stability and inclusion in the economy. Here’s what it entails:

• Monthly financial assistance is provided for purchasing essentials like medicines and pulses.
• Each eligible individual receives Rs. 1250 directly into their bank account through the DBT mode.
• The scheme targets to assist 27.77 lakh financially vulnerable families.
• It ensures that the most disadvantaged individuals have access to sufficient food and healthcare, serving as a safety net.

Benefits of Orunodoi Asoni 3.0

• The Assam Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme aims to assist approximately 27.77 lakh eligible women.
• Each woman will receive Rs. 1250 per month, starting from the first day of each month, via direct money transfer.
• The scheme allocates Rs. 400 for purchasing medicines to address health needs.
• Families receive Rs. 200 to cover half the cost of 4 kilograms of pulses, and an additional Rs. 80 for half the cost of 4 kilograms of sugar.
• An allocation of Rs. 150 is provided for purchasing fruits and vegetables, along with Rs. 170 for other essential items.
• Families registered under the Deen Dayal Divyangjan scheme and the Indira Miri Sarbojonin Bishwa Pension Achoni receive an additional Rs. 250.
• Families not registered under these schemes receive Rs. 1000 instead of Rs. 1250.
