The MLA Scholarship Scheme of Assam or popularly known as SUHRID is a scheme of the Government of Assam where the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA’s) provides some financial assistance to needy students and help them to pursue their further studies, who are exceptional in their studies with good overall grades in their respective fields of study.
The primary focus and vision of the MLA Scholarship Scheme (SUHRID) scheme are to provide opportunities to students in their studies whose financial conditions are a barrier in their further higher studies.

Govt of Assam has introduced a new scheme “SUHRID” under MLA-LAD program with an additional grant of Rs 50.00 Lakhs per Constituency (LAC) to enable assistance by the MLAs to the poor and needy citizens of their constituencies to meet their expenses incurred in the areas of Health & Higher Education. Government of Assam this year also provided around ₹ 6300 Lacs among all the 126 constituencies of Assam.

Can I apply for the scholarship as I’m going to complete graduation this year and also I have got the Ishan Uday scholarship last year.and the students who gets the IU scholarship they’re far from applying another scholarship provided by government..so I’m little bit confuse about should I apply or not.? please clarify my doubts!!
